Flex-line for Mazda Brake M/C 120-130

Hi guys - follow-up question if I may on the Mazda Brake M/C. I confirmed that it does bolt up exactly to the stock mounting point on my 1968 dual master, but as pointed out the openings are on the wrong side.

Can I use something like this to make the connection?

there are many places that make up lines like these. try any local shop that does hydraulic hoses etc. Bring in the two things you are trying to mate, if you can and I'll bet they can help.

Yes; there are MANY adapters of various threads available.
I've used

and

Find the part # and order from Jeg's or Summit.
Make sure whatever hoses you use are D.O.T. rated.

I doubt that is a good solution if you're buying something off the shelf. I suspect the Mazda uses metric threads, the Volvo is imperial. It would be easier to make some new hard lines with the appropriate unions at each end. The metric and imperial unions use the same 3/16th brake pipe.

You need to be really carefull with metric and imperial brake unions, they're very close and unless you're looking for it it is easy to miss.

A good way to check is to make sure you can screw them together by HAND before tightening
with a wrench.

You can screw the metric and imperial unions together by hand, they just feel a bit looser than they should.

Yeah, and POSITIVELY identify the fittings you've got.
