Just uncovered my '77 from the snow 200 1977

Hello Brickboard! Just wanted to show my 77 242 to the board - she's been covered by the "Blizzard of '09". I haven't been able to make it out the the junkyards to pull parts... I'll be keeping the car off the road and driving the Jeep until the salty roads have cleared up.

That's just one pretty car. Part of me thinks snow and ice is one of the best ways to "detail" a car in the winter.

See... an experienced brick driver always leaves the snow on the roof... the added weight=extra traction...

    Stay warm out there!

        Hey Rodney,
I didn't give up.. we shoveled for 5 hours that day to get the car 100 feet to where the neighbor would plow. Unfortunately, his plow broke, so it was moot. I guess in a way, we gave up..

Wiring harness has been flawless, car has been.. lets see... I can't think of a single issue since I put that in, so yea... it's all good. Thanks again!

Gee Matt, you think you have enough snow AROUND that car.Even if you dig out you can't get very far.

It was actually ready to go in the previous picture... my wife and I had dug all the way out to where the neighbor would come by with his plow...

Unfortunately, it was moot.. neighbor's plow broke, he didn't make it for days...

        ah fun...

Real pretty! Time for a car cover? Or, a heated garage? Perhaps an Email to Santa???

The car cover is coming soon... I am going to get a 90 or 89 240 for a daily driver in the next two weeks. I am driving the yellow 242 for about a year to get the "bugs" out, get her in tip-top shape, touched up, and ultimately into the garage. This Spring comes the full suspension upgrades - I have leaking shocks and struts, worn bushings, but all else is in excellent order. I just bought the car in November with 67,000 original miles and have since logged about 2000+. It's been fun taking a '77 to daily-driver status. Amazing that something 32 years old can be so reliable.

Heard that you guys like the flathoods. If anyone wants a flathood (just the hood, not the car) I have an extra one in the garage that I'm willing to sell. Just email me - webb.moncure@gmail.com.

That's a great looking 77....I want one like yours...love the single round headlights and the flat hood.

I too am now waiting for some good rain to wash the salt off the roads so I can drive my Amazon

    Cheers

Love living in New Mexico. We had snow last month and
probably will get another "storm" later this week, that
will probably dump an inch or three. But, needless to
say it will melt in 24 hours.
Not no salt on our streets ever.

Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year to All.
