Hi There - is there any way to bench-test a small clock (want to see if it works without actually installing it)???

Thanks

You would need a 12 volt battery and some jumper wires. Hook the positive post on the battery to the hot wire on the clock, and the negative post on the battery to ground on the clock or clock case. Be aware that more than not will not run if the temperature falls below 60f. The fix for this is to change the two small capacitors in the clock. It's not hard to do, and puts the clock back to being a dependable timepiece.

Yes, just hook it up to a 12vdc source paying attention to polarity. I believe the rear of the clock is marked with + and GND.

See my recent post regarding small clock repair. There are capacitors inside that can go bad.
