header pipe difference regina vs bosch?? Cali Cats?? 700 1991

I need a new header pipe for a 91 740 rex/regina. Basically so I can put a new bolt on cat on. PO did a weld job for a cat.

Might buy the pipe from FCPgroton.

Curious as to the price difference and what is different between the two.

Also, why is it so hard to buy a CAL cat? Why is the difference?

Thanks all

Rob

you could save yourself a lot of money by simply cutting the header pipe at the point of the weld so you have a clean end, installing the new cat and cutting off the flared end and then buying for 5 dollars a sleeve to go over both ends then simply u clamp both ends. in the future it will be a piece of take to gain acces to either side of the sleeve.

It does not appear to list a 91 740 regina for that pipe?
This site doesn't even list one.

Is this sleeve easy to find? I imagine any muffler shop would have one.

I assume to get every thing back together the pipe-manifold connection or cat-front muffler connx would need to be free to swing the cat with this sleeve?

Thanks for your help!

the sleeve is simply a piece of exhaust pipe with the ID sufficient to slide over both the head and cat OD at that point.

any auto parts store carries small pieces of pipe all you need do is get the measurement right
