    Hi Phil,

Yup, we've used them before. Got 2-1/2 years of winter service out of them. Probably about 25K - 30K miles.

I think they were purchased thru tire rack or discounttire at a reasonable price.

Good luck with yours. BTW, they still could use rotating, but I believe they're rotational.

I'm absolutely sold on Blizzaks... that's not to say there aren't other that are equally good, but...

I used to be hell bent on agressive treads and studs all around, but last year I found slightly used Blizzaks on Craigslist, and was simply amazed, both in fairly deep snow, as well as ice. And feel in the dry.

My only gripe... they don't last. Granted, I do a fair number of miles, and a long snow season.. but, Blizzaks are good for one season only for me.

The nice thing.. we use the same size as older Subarus, and if someone with an AWD Subaru gets a blow out, they have to replace all four, so they sell the three old tires...

that's how I got my new set this year.. 3 slightly used off craigslist, and I bought one new one to match...

Outside of treadlife.. you won't be disappointed.

There are usually some snow tire connoisseurs who will show up here to tell of a brand that served them well.

I've found that even with no-name snow tires - as long as I have them on all four wheels, and have some extra weight in the back, the 240 handles extremely well for me in snow. So I'd have confidence in the Blizzaks.

I usually end up passing everyone else, regardless of 4wd or whatever. My 240s are wagons and I carry 4-5 cement blocks in the back for weight. If yours is a sedan you need more rear weight to accomplish the same thing because the wagon has more weight in the rear to start with - more steel and more glass.

Had to toss my Vredestein snowtracs i bought in 1992 for my 87 240 as the tread was starting to crack still had tread left i might add. Thats right 16 yrs of faithful service!!! Pirelli p400 on the front. They provided a quiet smooth ride here in NJ and never got stuck or lost control on my sedan. Put most awd fwd or whatever terminology you would like to use to shame in the snow. Purchased some general tires made in germany, time will tell how they will perform? 80 each installed the whole 9 yds
