Is it wrong to fall in love with a Volvo??? 200

Finally got one... 1993 245 Wagon 5 speed tons of records no rust very well kept!
180000 miles drives perfect! Ahhhhhh now I can park the 90 and finish the rehab...Sorry that I had to sell the 93 244 to get this one. But volvos have been very good to me and with the 7 that I have owned I'm maybe out of pocket 1500.00 mostly in parts...LOL I'd love to post a pic but it's not working...

Well, if your "love" for a 240 results in carbon soot on your privates from the tailpipe, or you spend so much fixing it up that you can't pay the rent or mortgage, you need professional help!

It's okay to enjoy driving our bricks and laughing at everything else on the road as they don't realize what they are missing!

Personally, I "love" 240s thanks to one keeping me from being a widower, and many others that have provided my family with safe and reliable transportation.

Sad Day For Saab 200

Actually I came to Volvo via Saab's. I used to drive Saabs a long time ago. My first car was a 99GL Saab. It was very cool looking with rear fin and curved windshield. However mechanically/reliability wise it was poor. So I dumped them(I had 3 in a row). Since smitten with the Swedish bug I investigated Volvo's and became hooked and Volvo has all I've owned since for past 25 years or so. Today if you saw/read the news is indeed a sad day for Saab as deal GM had going to sell Saab fell through and GM might just end up letting the brand die off. That would be a shame.

Sad Day For Saab 200

I believe SAAB will be acquired by the folks at Koenigsegg.

No. They were the potential buyer, but they've dropped their interest, which is why GM may drop SAAB in the deep end! N.M.I. 200

If you start to have longings to be more intimate or experience other feelings such as jealousy, separation anxiety then you should sell it immediately.

"Tell you doctor if you experience thoughts of suicide or depression. Prolonged use of old Volvos can lead to quirky behavior, the occasional saved one or two dollars, and a strange sensation of superiority over those other patients who have chosen to attempt to save Chevrolet Citations."

Are there any Chevy Citations left ? K cars ? How about an AMC PAcer? I'm tempted to find an Opel....

I saw a late 70s Chevet parked on the street just the other day. I'm amazed it (apparently) still runs.

I actually found an 80 Plymouth Horizon (think Dodge Omni or Volkswagen Rabbit) with 62K on it last year. It was stored in a garage since the early nineties. After getting it running and driving it a bit, I realized with it's antiquated design, three speed automatic and oil drum ride, it had to go....ebay, YAY!

EEK! Greg, you may need more therapy than the rest of us, I'm not sure. I don't recall the last time I saw a running Citation. (!) Just kidding here, of course, but those are some real gems that you rattled off there.
