I ordered a 123 distributor with a vacuum advance even though I don't have one now on my B18. Why. 'cause I don't know. Anyway since I have it I might as well hook it up and that's where I would like some advice. As far as I can tell, emailing the distributor's distributor ("Tinustechniek") in Holland, all I need is a rubber? tube from the vacuum inlet on the 1-2-3 to a spot on the carb? intake manifold? to get the vacuum required. Any suggestions and/or photos of the g spot where the other end of the tube should go for best results?

Asked about his cams too, while I was at it. Seems the TT3 is the best choice for my needs.

My understanding is that the 123 locks out the vacuum advance below 1500 RPM, so there's no reason not to hook it to the manifold.

Thanks for the reply. Rhys Kent has suggested placing the source for the vacuum in the manifold's "runner" between the carbs, so a consensus has been reached. I was thinking about adding a valve to act as a regulator-Is that sensible?

Has anyone seen the book "Hot Rod Garages"?
