I have a 91 240. The plastic gears of the sun roof crank assembly are badly worn. Were can I get good replacement parts for the crank assy.

Is this a problem area for these cars and should I leave well enough alone. The roof does not leak and it is air tight. But, it should would be nice being able to use that thing.

You should be able to get a used one pretty easily. If you can't find one on a Volvo I am pretty sure VW, BMW and Mercedes all used the same crank before powered ones became the norm.
