LED Cluster conversion 90% finished 200

I've mounted a 9 bulb strip of LED's to supplement the crappy lighting in the cluster. I was using a 1987 cluster as a model to experiment with and the power source coming from the 13mm two-piece bulb for the original lights that light up the cluster. Now I am trying to mount the facia of the 1987 cluster to my car which is a 1992 cluster... I'm finding that my plan is back-firing cuz the 1992 cluster uses a 10mm one-piece halogen bulb of which i cannot diassemble. I've read and confirmed that the bulb sockets for the circuit board are not the same diameter.... Scraping the power source...

Anyone know of a power source on the circuit board I could tap into?

Cluster #K40168

My last resort is to use a longer wire to attach to the light dimmer... But i really wanna keep the modulation of the cluster for in case I remove it again.
Any ideas?

The LEDs require a current source, not a voltage source and there really isn't one on the cluster. Contact me by email at jorrell245@yahoo.com and I'll share the solution I came up with. It is based on two 1 Watt white LEDs that go into the light pipe at the top of the instrument cluster. This is on a 92 245 and the 2 LED approach is roughly four times brighter than the original halogen bulbs.
