1990 740 Wheel Shakes 700 2000

Hello,

I have wheel shakes at any speed and it's worse when brakes are applied. Coming from left side. Sorta like a clunking/thunking/bumpy road when brakes are applied. Feels like pads are grabbing the rotor and then releasing. Additonally, when turning the wheel to the left from center, there is no power steering until about 1/8 of a turn. Then there is a clicking type noise and the power steering returns. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks.

Jack the car up and look for looseness in the tie rod ends-- it certainly sounds like you have too much free play in the steering on that side. I've had outer tie rod ends that resulted in wobble that was much more pronounced when braking.

    Good luck!
