aiming windshield washer nozzles, 940 900

Can the windshield washer nozzles on a 940 be aimed? Nothing in the owner's manual, or the Haynes service book, or in these forums ...

Thanks.

They're not readily adjustable in the sense that you can put a pin into the opening and rotate the nozzle ball as in some of the earlier systems. But you can certainly adjust them using a tiny screwdriver to bend them up a bit or any suitable tool to bend them down. Sideways adjustment shouldn't be needed if you keep the tubes seated properly in the nozzle holders. Don't you just love it on the highway when the car in front of you has the nozzles aimed so high they go right over their car and hit your windshield.

Aim high, here's why. 900

I have always aimed the passenger side a bit high. It is an excellent deterent for the habitual tailgaters, works best over 60 mph, the closer they are the better, sometimes takes 2 or 3 squirts before they catch on. I am not a slow driver and I only use this method on selected idiots that get too close when the interstate is already saturated and nobody can go any faster in any event. If the road is clear I move over and they can knock themselves out and drive 120 for all I care.
