Anybody know of a source for a decent exhaust system for my 1972 142S , other than IPD ? no problem with IPD I just want to see what else is available

    I've had the Simmons System from Skandix on my '70 145 for about 4 years and 27,000 miles. It has outlasted any other exhaust system I've ever used on a 140 year round in New England.

    It was more expensive than a Starla (Walker) system, but the quality and fit is better. Sounds pretty good to. I would not hesitate to purchase another from Skandix.

      Is that 2.125"?

      2.125" OD, which is the size of the original exhaust for fuel injected cars, is likely enough exhaust for anything with a stock Volvo head. You have to have very carefully ported exhaust ports before headers & bigger exhaust do anything.
