Question for Lucid 900

Hi Bruce,

It appears that I have the same exhaust that you have, and before I remove mine I have a few questions.

Did you have to grind the bracket down to get rid of the rattle when you put the new pipe on?
Did you reattach the front pipe to the bracket or just let it be supported the manifold and the remainder of the exhaust?

Thanks,

Gus

    Question for Lucid 900

Actually, I haven't installed the new pipe yet, Gus. The bracket hardware was missing when I got the car 6+ years ago, so I fabbed a piece that tied the pipe to the bell housing.

The new pipe will go on with the correct bracket that allows up/down and front/back adjustment, so I don't think any grinding will be needed. IMO the support bracket takes a lot of stress off the pipe-to-flange joint at the manifold.

THIS THREAD (if you haven't seen it) has some pictures, part numbers, and OE prices from Tasca Volco.
