Taillights--where to go 200 1989

I need the drivers side for the wagon (though could use both sides), because the plastic has disintegrated around the brake light holder. autolampsplus only lists passenger side. too bad b/c my previous experience with them was good. groton is $75 for aftermarket.

lampsandlenses.com lists it for $38. has anyone had experience with them?

it seems one cannot call vlvworld any more and they did not respond to email last time, so I'm passing them by.

    I bought the tailights three years ago from lamps and lenses and they are working fine for me

      been meaning to post back from early Sept.

      I ordered both taillights from lampsandlenses.com based on recommendation here. Very pleased...very fast shipping, great price ($38 apiece). I could not tell any difference between these and the oem in lens quality, fit, gasket etc. But I'll see how these survive the winter and report back if my first impression doesn't hold up. Thanks for the tips ...I appreciated the variety of opinion on this.

    The only other alternative I can think of would be someone parting out their 245. Best of luck finding two good taillights on the same car! It would be a shame if after 22 years vlvworld.com has folded up their tent.

      thanks. no I didn't mean vlvworld has folded, just that the option of calling them seems to have vanished and they've not been responsive to email. They're probably fine but I like to be able to talk to someone if there's a problem.
