I've had an Amazon for years, but this new project is actually a vintage Volvo boat --- It was originally equipped with a B16 block (BB90, single upright Zenith) and was repowered (by p.o.) with a B18 block (AQ110, dual upright Zenith). The boat's engine cover now will not clear the dual carb fuel inlet ports as they extend too far away from the block...only a centrally mounted single-carb setup will fit.
The Weber hangs waaay out there -- won't work. I can use a B18 single upright Zenith manifold (even though this will result in a guaranteed 15hp loss). I'd probably prefer to try a single Stromberg or SU as found on the automotive B20A and perhaps on some late 1960s marine Volvo (most had dual carbs). I'll have to experiment with needle tapers, but that's OK.
Note: Due to marine exhaust differences, I can only use a solo intake manifold (or one that's been cut away from exhaust).
Anyone have a candidate in their hoard pile? What would be easiest to find?
