1966 122s. What is the size of the fuel hose going from the fuel pump to carb? [There is a Weber DGV fitted).

I believe it is 3/16" Although there is some confusion about the inside vs. the outside diameter. I want to say 1/4" inside, 3/16" outer...

This has come up before, If you can't find it with a search, someone will chime in with true wisdom.

That would be a pretty unusual section of hose, where the OD is smaller than the ID.

The size of the hose for the pressure side of the fuel pump is 3/16", but the hose barb on the down drought Weber carburetor is 1/4".

What I do is use a Bosch inline fuel filter that has both 3/16" and 1/4" hose barbs on both sides to act as an adapter.

OK. I followed your advice. 1/4" from the Weber to an in-line filter (used a Fram designed for VWs), stepped down to 3/16". Seemed to work OK.

So, finally, what is the diameter of the hose from the fuel tank line to the input to the fuel pump. Is that 3/16" as well?

I use 1/4" hose, but you can use 5/16" and hose clamps.

BTW, I have stopped using Gates fuel hose.

Gates fuel hose has a problem with cracking prematurely.

I now use Goodyear brand fuel hose with no problems in over 3 years compared to Gates which was not lasting a year.

I beg to differ.

I use those sizes as they are a good tight fit and do not require hose clamps.

Although I still use lined hose clamps anyway to cover my butt.

I tried a search before I posted. I came up with 3/16" but nothing more specific. I show my ignorance here, but isn't 1/4" (i.e., 4/16) larger diameter than 3/16?

3/16" is smaller than 1/4". Further, a hose with a 3/16" id and a 1/4" od would have a very thin wall thickness. But now I understand why the Goodyear fuel line I recently purchased fit the fuel pump and both ends of my reuseable fuel filter but just was a bear to get attached to the Weber.
