New gas tank or seal the cracks? S90-V90

There are some drops of fuel on the ground, whenever I fill up the tank of my s90. They are not coming from the hoses or connections. I think the tank has small cracks, some where near the top.
Can I just IB Weld it or go for a new tank?
Tom

The rubber part of the filler pipe has a smaller vent hose molded to it that will often crack and leak fuel and vapor. It can be inspected through the panel in the trunk.

I looked into that opening, but didn't see any leaks. It was somewhere, on the right side of the tank, if you look at it from the rear. I could see the fuel dropped on the ground as fuel was pumped in, but I just couldn't pinpoint where it came from.

I think Permatex makes a gas tank repair kit for plastic tanks. Try an auto parts store. But are you sure the fill hose is not leaking? This is the usual failure mode. Inspect the sender unit hoses too: you could have rust or a split hose on top.

I'm 100% sure the leak is not from the hoses, because I take the cover off ( in the trunk area), and watch it as my son fills up the tank. No leaks there, but still some fuel on the ground, on the exhaust side of the tank.
I wait for a cooler weather, then I drop the tank to have a better look at it.
      Tom
