clutch slave cylinder 700 1987

Hello everybody,

󞩳 740 turbo, M46 manual transmission]

Well, my clutch pedal goes to the floor with no resistance. Tried bleeding the slave cylinder, but no luck. So, I'm going to replace the slave cylinder. My question is, it's not inherently obvious how the rear end of the slave cylinder connects to the clutch fork. I don't see any obvious fasteners.

How do you release the tail end of the slave cylinder from the clutch fork?

Thanks.

A short rod fits between the slave cylinder and the throwout arm. A rubber boot fits around it and the slave cylinder. The rod fits into a socket in the throwout arm. The slave cylinder is retained by a snap ring.

The fork has a rounded depression in it that accepts the rounded end of the rod in the slave cylinder.

Once you have it unbolted it should just pull out.

Most slave cylinders I've seen on the outside of the tranny only have a couple of bolts holding them in. All they do is push the fork in. How is yours installed?
