P0112 help? S90-V90

The transplanted engine runs great and all is (almost) well. I keep getting code P0112 - Intake Air Temperature circuit low input. I'm sure I've hooked a sensor up incorrectly or something. Anyone know which specific sensor would cause this? Obviously the intake air temperature sensor, but where in the world is it? In following the airbox back to the engine, I see the MAF sensor, the IAC device, and then the manifold. Where should I look?

I've searched the interned and the board with no success. I'll keep searching. Thanks!

    P0112 help? S90-V90

I'm slightly amused that I am the only person who responded to my question, but oh well. If no one knows the answer, that's just how it is. Anyways, I thought I'd post the solution so if someone else has this problem in the future they can have some help in the archives.

There are three possible sensors that cause the P0112 code on an S90:

    1) the temperature sensor in the cabin climate control, located just behind the passenger kick panel. I replaced it, and the code did not go away, though the A/C seems to be much more consistent.

    2) There are two air temperature sensors just below the radiator support that are often falling out of their housings. My dad taped them up years ago, but one of the connections had come loose. Fixing the connection cleared the code.

I'm now running without a check engine light!

      P0112 help? S90-V90

Thanks for letting us know the solution to the P0112 problem.

Can you provide the Volvo PN for the temp sensor you replaced in the HVAC ducting please? About how much did it cost and was it easy to replace?

      Thanks, DEWFPO

P0112 help? Bonus information found... S90-V90

After much digging around on the P0112 issue, I had my local Volvo mechanic--who is quite friendly--run the official Volvo codes. That turned up EFI-251 Ambient Temp Sensor fault. He then proceeded to give me a printout of where it is--right by the blower motor housing inside the car! Thus, it is most likely that the check ENGINE light came on due to a climate control issue. How silly. I've ordered a new temp sensor and we'll hope that fixes the problem.

Oh yeah, it is a 1998 S90, forgot to mention. Is the MAF sensor ALSO the air intake temperature sensor? That could explain it...
