LH 2.2 Swap Woes (Hi from Turbobricks!) 200 1983

Kyote here, long time member, but mostly turbobricks these days. I'm all out of aces on this one, here goes.

I bought this 83 245 from BC here on the BB, and the wiring harness was rotten. I have since swapped over to LH 2.2, and for whatever reason, the injectors just won't fire.

I have tested out everything, tried a new ecu, no dice.

The fuel pumps come on, which leads me to believe that LH is getting a rpm signal.

Spark is good.

Injector grounds at the manifold are good, verified at the ecu connector.

Bought another ecu at the JY today, no dice.

Main relay seems good. Good voltage at the main relay and at the ecu 12v switched.

Still, injectors are not clicking.

So I've come back to you brickboard, please oh please keep my head from exploding, as currently it is close!

    Hello,
The injectors don't ground at the manifold they ground through the ecu.Pull off one of the injector connectors and check for 12v on the yellow/red wire with the ign turned on.The green/white wire grounds through the ecu.Are you using the 2.2 relays or the 2.0?

Dag Nabit. I figgered her out. Not only were 3 out of 4 injectors bad, but so was the "good" one I was testing with. Whodathunkit. Anyone having injector problems needs a "Node Light," borrowed one from O-O-O-O'Reilly, Auto Parts! for a 18.99 Deposit.

How do injectors go bad, electrical or where they clogged? I'm guessing electrical. Any more details on how this tool works and why the injectors would suddenly go bad would be interesting. Are the LH 2.2 injectors different enough that they didn't work? I swapped some injectors yesterday trying to solve an idle problem I've been chasing for too long and would find it interesting to know a little more, thanks.

In my experience injectors go only bad when they sit for a long time without use. The gasoline evaporates and the residue sticks the injector together.

These bad boys have been sitting since 02 at least. The noid light plugs in to the injector harness and flashes to indicate functioning electronics to the injector. I had another fuel rail with injectors, also totally gummed up. Tried to soak inn Brakeleen to no avail. The injectors speced out resistance wise, but were crapped out.
