What is the favorite modification that you've done? 120-130

As the title reads. I think for myself, putting the OD in my wagon makes me smile the most. It was well worth it. Anyone else?

What is the favorite modification that you've done? 120-130

Granted, I just finished it last weekend, but #1 is definitely the M410 in the 145. Ooooh yes. Hated the bw35, spit on it after it was out of the car.

Others, not necessarily in order of joy:
IPD anti-sway bar in front (rear to follow, and then possibly be removed)
The bbs style wheels shod in 205s (once I get rear inner fender well clearance for the big bumps)
IPD sport springs & new shocks that actually react to the road
    Electronic ignition

Coming up, in order of projected joy gain:
    Replacing ALL door rubber.
Blasphemy to some, I know, but I will be *cleanly* installing a 6 speaker stereo system of only moderate wattage. In conjunction with this, there will likely be an alternator upgrade.
Before that, I will be lifting up the carpet and cleaning up the floorpan and generously applying sound dampening materials. Trying to source black carpet, most likely. I've never understood the use of the brown.
Camshaft upgrade and some light head work.

Others (not me!) do similar things: http://www.ovtuners.org/gallery2/v/members/sk8daysaweek/album18/album14/trans.jpg.html?g2_jsWarning=true&g2_fromNavId=xf659972b

On my 66 122 Wagon, changing the rear axle and front brakes to donors from a 72 1800ES. I have used 940 wheels since, and the snow set from a 740. It stops great too.
I have a pair of DCOE's and manifold waiting on the shelf, I'm hoping to like that too, but the waiting list is long, seats, wood steering wheel, ipd lifters and cam, etc... someday. the wagon came with the M41.

I, too, have lust in my heart for a 4 wheel disc brake set up, especially for the '67 130 that I'm building. B20, Weber DCOE 45's, big cam, lightened flywheel,OD, no rear seat, etc. I'll have to really behave, and make sure my Guardian Angel of Braking can still keep up! Thanks to all for the responses.

Take out the original high/lo beam sealed lights and put in two 7" Cibies w/ halogen high/low bulbs plus two Marchal 7" fog lights and changing the generator to a simple AC Delco alternator and from then on have BRIGHT WHITE LIGHTS and not those dangerous original dull bright lights. .

I hear you loud and clear there! I bit the bullet and put in a set of H4 lights, and it makes a world of difference.

Momo steering wheel.have bits from the usual suspects Isky, mallory,Koni,IPD,Weber but when cruising at my b20's favorite speed 4500+ i have control with that thick wheel. a surprising second is the dges 38mm non progressive 2bbl. easily delivers fuel at 500rpm and only part throttle.

Fitting the M41 to my 63 wagon would have to be right up there. It makes it feasible to have a stereo and motor along with the other traffic without thrashing the motor at 4000 revs.

Second on the list of mods would be central locking - much more convenient with a family to cart around.

Fitting the leather seats from a 164 makes the front seating much more comfortable but then my car did have the original seats which pre-dated the later Amazon "medically idealised" seats.

For reduced maintenance I have recently fitted electronic ignition. This was fairly simple and gives a nice fat spark for excellent starting.

Upgrading hi/lo beam switch to stalk.

My dad loved his '66 130 until he was left in the dark on a 2 lane road in 1970. He always complained about that darn footswitch being the culprit. This past trip to see him, I presented him with the footswitch that came off my '67 130.
