Aftermarket (waaay aftermarket) swaybar links? 700 1987

Hi folks,

Swaybar link bushings need replacing. A friend of mine has suggested to me that the old links in there will probably not survive the bushing replacement. I wonder if the generic 'sport' link set, with red urethane bushings, from my local Autozone would do the job just as well as a Volvo-specific link. The Autozone links are $18 for the links, bushings, and hardware.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Ari

I just replaced them in my 940. They were shot! So rusted I would not have been able to remove without significant damage to rod. Soooo much easier to just use an angle grinder to cut 'em off and replace with new. Getting the new ones on just took a little brute force. FCP aftermarket(scantech or MTC dont remember). But I opted for the Urethane bushings(yellow). Nice.
