Euro sidemarkers S90-V90

1998 S90. Trying to fish wires to connect the sidemarkers to the turn signal wires. I did this on my dtr's 940 without much difficulty by following the FAQ procedure, but no luck on this S90. Starting from an inner fender hole behind the (removed) air filter housing, I can feed more than enough coathanger wire to get to the hole in the outer fender formerly occupied by the "Volvo" emblem, but it never appears there. I can hear and feel it rattling around close to the emblem hole. I've repeated a lot of times, trying to curve and orient the fish wire differently. Seems to be some sort of divider or bulkhead which blocks the fish wire away from the emblem hole.

...anybody got the right way to go about this? TIA!

    Bob,

What I did was bend a hook or V in the long wire and fish it to the emblem area from the front. I then used another shorter (~18 inch) wire with a similar hook on the end and then snaked it up to catch the long wire and then I pulled it down and out the hole.

Thanks, Walt - I'll try that. The S90 has a large rubber donut inside the emblem/sidemarker hole which I don't recall seeing on the 940. Weatherstripping or something like that. This makes it difficult to see up or down in there and catch sight of the fish wire.
