hi volvoneros - my 940 (299,875 mi) failed the Fuel Evap test (but passed emission!). Could a badly installed gas filter cause this? I'll check the evap line (Y at the tank, etc), but just wondering if the gas filter could cause this. I'll check for leaks by the filter while I am under the car..... just wondering if anyone knows. thanks all.

    No, the filter can't cause it.
    I found the rubber flex line connecting the hard tank line to the charcoal cannister had rotted on my 740. Fixed it before the test.

      My car had the same problem, the hose was cracked. I'll go back tomorrow for a re-test. Thanks jav
