clutch pedal will not release...HELP HELP!!!!! 120-130

ok guys - need some help....Ill try and make this posting short - my clutch pedal was getting 'stiff and creaking'....and when mainly shifting out of first gear, the pedal would not release all the way...well tonight, I thought id would be a great idea to put a used mst cyl from a parts car on my car, and not the pedal will not release at all...i did check the fluid, i did bleed the system....when i got the car (only 1,200 miles ago) i didnt an entire new clutch system, and it worked great - (new slave cty also)- kind of 'went downhill' to the point i thought i was going to replace - so....do i need to get a new mst cyl? Im trying to get out to town friday - i might put the old one (the one i took off tonight) back on, so i can at least get out of savannah....have a band to see friday night!!!!!

so....does the clutch need to be adjusted? even though it was fine? And i have only drove it 1200 miles???? Any help would great - or just email me at
g-riehl@hotmail.com

Thanks

WELL, i had the bracket that bolts to the clutch pedal to tight, so there was no room for the pedal to pivit on the plunger for the mst cyl, so it was binding it up.

    problem solved!

    Hello,

A piece of chard is likely checking the hydraulic return.

You should remove and clean the cylinder.

I agree with goatman. If the spring under the dash (for pedal return) is fine then it has to be in the hyd. system. Flush stuff out (most like by taking it apart) and use clean, fresh fluid putting it back together.
