Oil spilled during oil change - smoke ! 900

I just sloshed some oil around the refill area and some went on or down the outside of the exhaust manifold. When the car runs the manifold now emits smoke as the oil burns off. Will it reach a flash point and ignite? I wiped it off with a towel. Any other ideas? Spray with water? I used to not worry about such things until I read about Toyota Siennas burning because of sloppy oil changes. Now I'm paranoid.

Oil spilled during oil change - smoke ! 900

I would stay away from water with the car hot. If it's just a couple of ounces of spillage, open the hood and watch it smoke off. It should only last five or ten minutes.... but I'd have my trusty fire extinguisher at the ready.

or if it's really bad and has gotten all over everything let it cool and you can clean it up tomorrow with degreaser and a hose . They say oil isn't good for the motor mounts.
