Hello All, Big Red starts right up and runs good, when leaving from a stop it shudders until up to speed. Also when running highway speeds seems to jerk an occasion, could this be the in tank fuel pump issue? thanks!

When my in-tank failed, the main pump under the car was noisier than normal, kind of like it was sucking some air. In-tank failure is normally noticed when the gas level is low. I did not notice shuddreing associated with this problem.

Is your tranny fluid at the proper level and are your motor mounts in good condition?

The trans is 4 speed and the oil level is correct, I have not check motor mounts as of yet! thanks! - don -

My 84 run badly under an half tank,anything over that no problems,allso I put my ear by the gas cap and listen,was hearing a up and down sounds,Replaced no more low fuel problems.
