Neutral safety switch 200

Hello everyone. My reverse light (240 sedan) is not working. The bulb/fuse are both good and I replaced the Neutral safety switch still no reverse light no matter how long i've been trying to adjust the switch. Is there something I missed to fixed this problem? Thank you for any replies.

Hi Joe,

The wiring in the sedan lights is known to be a problem. The black wire is the one feeding the backup lights. The connection has to be good at the left light to get power to the right light, so often it is just melted or corroded at the left one. Do you have a test light with a probe? May help if you tell what year yours is.

DRIVERS SIDE TAIL LIGHT: Did you take off the covers in the trunk to see if you are getting voltage to the Black wires on the white connector? OR one of the black wires anyway?
If you are getting Voltage to one of the wires but not lights... then Your Backup switch is functioning but there is a small problem with the white connector contacting the circuit board. If you wiggle the Connector, see if the lights flicker.
