STARTS AND STALLS 200 1990

I have a 1990 240 sedan that starts very easily and idles nicely for approx 10 seconds and then stalls. The motor will restart again right after it stalls and will run again for 10 seconds. I can hear the fuel pump running. Should I start with a fuel filter or is this going in the wrong direction? Any help would be appreciated.

Could be the AMM. Disconnect it and try starting again.

If it doesn't stall out now, it's an AMM problem. Maybe just corroded contacts.

might check the fuel pump relay. think it's under the dash on the passenger side. If you pull it out, you can take a screwdriver and pry off the cover. check around the solder points see if you see any rings. if you see rings ( might be brownish in color)you probably have a bad solder. If you have a solder iron you can for a quick fix bring it up to temp and re touch those bad solder points. and then order a replacement. might be a long shot. cause i think it might be something else, but you never know
