Buy the new bulb, then fashion a loose fitting 1-inch long open end wrench to fit the base of the bulb.I cut off an old "ignition" wrench from the bottom of my toolbox.Remove the knee bolster along with its cover. The bulb enters the thermometer from the top, base up.The bulb can be removed without the wrench.Slightly press downward on the bulb while turning it with the wrench to re-install.

I tried replacing mine once but gave up tugging on the plastic pieces.. It seems everything on this car is really brittle and breaks veryyyy easily.. I didn't want to end up with things that would rattle after because the mounts were broken. I assume the light is somewhere behind the cluster but good luck replacing it!!!
