confirm brake booster as problem 200 1984

So last week my power brakes went away almost completely. I'm pretty sure I just need to replace my booster, but wanted to double check with you folks in case I'm missing something more simple...

I pulled the one way air valve, and I can blow through, but can't suck back, so I don't figure that's the problem. I do get plenty of vacuum at that line, and if I pinch the hose closed, the idle speed changes...

That's pretty much it, isn't it? Only reason I ask is that I hear no hissing, and this came on very suddenly. In the past, it's been more gradual, and I've usually heard the leak...

thanks

Remember you're older now.....
Obviously air is passing through or the idle would not speed up.
Sounds like a leaky diaphragm to me.
