I've recently acquired a dual down pipe manifold for a B20b engine. I'm looking for the next section- 2 into 1 header pipe. They come with the Skandix package but I only need the pipe. My local Volvo dealer parts book only goes back to the 240 series and gives a part number #462821. The B18b number for the same piece is 672196. Does anyone know if these are the same pipe (different years = different #'s). Was there a generic 2 into 1 header pipe that fits all dual down pipe manifolds? Thanks for the help in advance. Bill

    Hello,

    If you are going to have a custom exhaust made to fit after the lead pipe, I usually use the later 1800e lead pipe which has the largest outer diameter outlet pipe.

    With this lead pipe installed, I bring it to my local exhaust shop to fabricate the rest of the exhaust system.

    If you want to connect your new dual outlet intake/exhaust manifold to your stock 122 muffler, you should use the stock Volvo 122 lead pipe for the dual outlet exhaust manifold.

    You already have the correct Volvo part number which is 672196.

    Both lead pipes are still available right from Volvo.

        Hello,

        Volvo part number 460867.

        Volvo updated the early 1800e lead pipe so you will need a plug and gasket to fill the hole for the EGR pipe.

        Volvo charges over $10.00 for the plug and washer and it is just a metric drain plug that you can get at your local car parts store.

        I have the lead pipe w/plug and washer in stock.

    The flange will bolt up and the 240 pipe is a little bigger material.
    Not sure if the bends are right and the 24o pipe has a 3-bolt flange to
    bolt up the cat.
    Check with IPD, RPR, FCPGroton, IOW the usual suspects.
