Show off your car! Photos and details? 900

Didn't see any post like this.
Thought it might liven up the forum a little bit.
Let's try to keep it to say, three or Maybe four photos each? (I'm going to break my own rule if I say only three!)

Anyways, I'll start.

This is my 1993 Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon which I purchased late last July out of Portland, Oregon. I imported it to Canada a week later and it passed provincial and federal inspections at the end of August.

Car was heavily modified by the last owner. Came with a stack of records several inches thick.
Mods include:
Full Manual transmission swap from the original AW71 to an M90 transmission imported from Europe.
Wilwood Big Brake Kit in the front.
MVP Coilover Kit
MVP adjustable cam gear.
MVP custom ground camshaft - like their version of IPD's cam.
Forge Blow Off Valve
Custom designed MVP Cold Air Intake Kit
Cherry Turbos upper and lower braces.
Slightly bigger Hybrid Turbo.
Spark Plug Wires I bought myself from www.cravingboost.com
3" downpipe to a 2.5" exhaust - will be 3" all the way through someday.
IPD 25/25 Swaybars front and Rear
MVP adjustable rear panhard rod
Koni Adjustables up front, Bilstein HD's in the rear
Team Dynamics alloy wheels: 16" x 7.5"
European spec headlamps with relay kit.
European turn signal lights
V90 Taillamps
Custom shaved egg crate grille.
Snow Cap
Rear FOHA Volvo accessory Spoiler
Volvo V90 Sideskirts
Volvo V90 smooth door handles
Volvo V90 smooth rear hatch handle trim
Volvo V90 smooth rear wiper arm
Headliner began sagging and was replaced in black to match the black leather interior
Custom designed gauge pod under stereo
A presumably pretty rare padded armrest - never seen one like it, it is padded like an S70's but has the older style swing down arms?
Boost gauge on the A Pillar.
IPD steering wheel wrap (11 years and 160,000 miles old, and still in pretty decent shape!)
960 Air Mass Meter
Perfect Power SMT6 piggyback tuning software.
Manual Boost Control.

Coming soon:
Hopefully the soft suede like 960 pillars, I have a set already. Also, I have a set of 17" Borbet Type A wheels in 5x108 with a 30mm offset that need to be refinished and put on. Extremely rare and sought after by many in the VW community (which are what my friends drive) - Hopefully soon I'll also be able to get a short throw shift kit and maybe a quicker ratio steering rack for it, as well!

Car has all the records for it back to 1997, and now has 251,xxx miles on it.

*Phew*

Okay guys, your turn. I expect to see everything from the ratty to the pristine and everything in between! =D

Show off your car! Photos and details? 900

    Hi all,

I decided to restore a 93 940 to original condition from the frame up, gathering original parts from all over(new and used). Shortly after completion and enough money to own almost any car, a utility pole fell on it and made me ponder ending my life, LOL. It had been a very windy, powerful storm. I never had a chance to get many photo's of the car after completion before that fatal morning, but pics were posted here, so here are some of the links:

The only thing missing is the new alloy rims in one of the pics I believe.

    Best of luck to all,

    Mitch

Show off your car! Photos and details? 900 1995

I was getting sick of the puckered tan door panels in my 1995 944. Someone was parting out a 92 940 Turbo with black door panels and I came up with this combination. I'm not sure if I am crazy about it, but looks better than what it did. Maybe after I clean it up I'll be more crazy about it.

My '92 745T Driver's door is getting a rehab. I need the latch pocket, a tan plastic bracket-like object held to the door by two torx bolts, and containing the interior door release. Do you have a spare from your parting effort? I'm in Houston TX.

I'll chip in. Here are a few of my 940 at last year's Toowoomba Rally (Queensland, Australia). It's a 1991 940GL Sedan, b230FB, AW71L. 295K Kilometres. I've owned it 10 years as of last week!

That's a fantastic car - great find, well done. Can you post photos of your engine bay? I'd really like to see the custom intake. I've been looking at mine ('93 945 turbo) and daydreaming about a cold air intake.

      Thanks
      Eric

is that aluminum plate with some sort of edge trim? perhaps with foil insulation on the outside? it looks like it would come really close to sealing against the hood - does it?
          nice job!

            hello
its real close to sealing. its aluminum with heat foil and edge trim.
someone on turbobricks was making them, but stopped.
fits good. dont know what type of help it is but you can surely hear the air getting sucked in.
i guess you could make up a cardboard one then transfer it to aluminum.
            good luck
            Mike

Yup, you've seen it there. And it is genuine Volvo, I believe. Has a yellow sticker on the bottom that blah blah blahs about... something, I don't recall what. Maybe airbags or child restraints or something.
And yes, I had a 1989 240DL for about two to two and a half years previously.
