Stumble/Slow accelerate in wet 200 1989

Hi all,
The blue beauty has an issue. When wet out, rain or melted snow on road with no rain, the car hesitates and will accellerate very slow with major miss. When dry it ran great until today. It is cold 30 degrees today and dry (ffrozen) but still hesitating and stumbling. once up to speed it runs normally. I had an intank pump issue 3 months ago that gave similar but not as severe symptoms that ceased when I replaced the pump. The car has a fresh tune, clean throttle body etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I do have a stash of all the usual suspects as far as fault finding goes, but I haven't swapped anything yet.
Thanks,
Palmer

    Update 200 1989

    Hi guys,
Checked the cap. rotor and wires, all good. the problem is now not just when wet, but all the time. Hesitation, ultra slow acceleration, backfiring, and when almost up to speed, smooths out with good power. The fuel pumps are running anf the fuel filter was changed 3 months ago. It seems like it fuel starving, but the regulator seems fine. The 25a fuse is clean too.
    Any new ideas?
    Thanks,
    Palmer

Confirm what others have said. Crack in the distributor cap, bad wires, fuses all are effected by moisture.

Check the 25a blade fuse by the battery for corrosion. Also look for windshield leaks near the fuse panel and the computers. Sounds like its a bit of corrosion somewhere, moisture seems to make these more apparent.

good wires, cap, and rotor are a must. Even with these, 1 of my 3 volvos is a bit sketchy in wet weather. But until I put good wires in it, it was a no start.
