is the fact there always seemed to me to be very few 5 speeds made in the 92-93 model years and i can only surmise even FEWER 5 speeds with the classic moniker.

Hmmm,

Some odd issues appear to be in the pictures. Please correct me if I'm wrong but in 93 I thought the side belt trim was black, this one appears to have chrome strips. The front bumper looks pushed in on the passenger side and the trim molding over it is missing. No passenger side shots of the car also raise suspicion. Headlights and turn signal lenses need replaced.

If the appearance issues with the car are any indication of how well its been cared for, it will probably make for a good parts car!

Note the absence of any interior shots or the Classic xxxxx of xxxxx built placard! Sounds like a standard "beaten" nothing special 93.

Are you looking at the same ad as I am? At least 25% of the pictures posted show a passenger side shot. The beltline trim is chrome. I have many pictures of a pristine burgundy one that sports chrome trim. Belongs to my brother-in-law...

And for all the apparent negatives you point out about the car, did you look at the asking price? The burgundy wagon I speak of sold for the mere sum of $13,500 just two years ago...

Sorry for not being accurate in my statement, there is a passenger side pic, but the right front corner of the car is very hard to see in the low res pic. Upon closer inspection of the pics, the right front headlight may have been replaced.

As far as sweet classic 93s go, this one may be a bargain but the ad provides so little info and there are obvious body issues. Are you saying that Volvo reversed their 92 edict of black trim in 93? I don't doubt it, but I haven't personally seen it. Always looking for answers!
