Where to position Magnefine filter for power steering on 92 940 900 1992

Hi,
I've got a "new" 92 940 that I would like to install a Magnefine filter in the return line for the power steering fluid. On my 240's the hose ran from the pump on the same side to the reservoir and it was easy to fit in. On the 940, the pump is on the other side of the engine and the lines near the reservoir pretty much go up tight along the wall near the reservoir. The air intake line interferes with what looks like the logical place to install the filter. Lower would require loosening the lines from the wall. I haven't found a locatiion that I'm happy with.

Any suggestions on where to put the filter on the 940's?
Thanks!
Lyle

One possibility is to lengthen the return line with a separate segment which will allow you to move the filter to the front of the reservoir. One tip: getting the line off the barbed fitting on the reservoir is very difficult. Don't destroy the reservoir in the process. I slit a short segment on the barb and then pulled the line off, shortening it by that amount in the process. Use some silicone grease on reinstallation.

Thanks, Steve. That should work. There is plenty of space in front and a little lower. Exactly what I was looking for!
