1990 760 turbo code 3-1-2 ,car suddenly lost power for about 1 second and then went back to normal but engine light is on ,checked in socket 2 and get 3-1-2-
What is this and how do i recify this ......Pete Thanks

    Pete,

    I would be willing to bet this is your Mass Air Flow sensor.

    Disconnect the battery.
    unplug MAF
    have a beer
    plug MAF back in
    Plug battery back in
    Start it up and drive around the block.

    Code didn't go away?
    Try above procedure minus disconnecting battery.

    STILL NO LUCK?
    By this point though you shouldn't feel too bad as you have just had two beers so it will be less painful to open the wallet and buy a new BOSCH MAF(do not get Chinese crap).

    Seeing as how you are already under the hood could you humor me and tell me where the power steering lines for the reservoir go? I have been contemplating moving my 200 series around like the 700 but was a bit apprehensive as I do not remember if the power steering will work.
