Tightening my stearing play? 120-130

Is there a way to tighten up my steering play (left/right) without pulling the whole steering box unit and rebuilding it? I noticed today while on the hwy that I could wiggle my wheel back and forth and there was a disturbing amount of play. I also noticed while under the hood once back home that there are two items that looked inviting for screwing on at the top of the steering box-unit.... one a bolt-head, the other a bolt-head with a screw-driver notch in it.
