Anyone know of a work-around to make the email function work on this site? Whenever I sign in and try to send and email to another member the address that comes up in my email program is bbannon-blah-blah-blah (always seems to be the same address), and the email gets bounced back.

    Just so you conclude that you're odd man out Tom< I've had trouble too. Not with bouncing but with non responses from people that I know would respond if they got my email. Not always but often enough.

    I just plain stopped trying, I haven't been able to send an email from the board in what seems like forever.

    God I wish the board would switch over to V-bulletin, I might spend more time on it and I darn sure would contribute $$ again.

    It works OK for me. I've both sent and received e-mails through it.
    The BBANON-umpty-ump just allows people to get a message to you but does not
    reveal your e-mail address to them, so that the board is useless to spammers.

      Hm- spam thing makes sense, but my messages always bounce back to me as undeliverable or fatal this or that.

        Like George, I can't remember ever having a problem with the e-mail function on this site, maybe I'm lucky. It works well for me, and I like that it keeps the spam away.

        Send a message to Jarrod about your problem.
        It is usually easiest to post a question to him in the Opinions forum.
