940 A/C blower circuit and blown fuses 900 1991

I have a 91 940Turbo. My problem revolves around blown fuses which power the lighting and A/C blower. When you turn on the blower fan to any speed, it will blow the fuse within a few minutes of operation. The blower fan is a 3.5 year old aftermarket/reman unit from eBay. Is there a relay which may not be switching properly (where?) or is this a sign of a worn out motor pulling too much current? Thanks!

Doesn't sound good.

Does the motor make any un-usual noise when it's running?

Are you sure that you have the correct fuse amperage?

Yes, the fuse is correct. No strange noises. The basics are covered. Is there a relay that controls power to the fan or is it only the fuse?

I'm having a fuse problem(#16 which controls the AC Control) too. My blower fan is fine and fuse doesn't blow with AC off. With AC engaged, it blows in 5-10 mins. Local shop is trying to diagnose and told me this week that the main hot wire to compressor isn't delivering a steady power stream. He's scratching his head trying to figure out why. My compressor makes a lot of racket when it's engaged.

I pulled the blower fan for inspection. The bushings were nearly siezed, causing the overload. I'm replacing the fan now. Should take care of it.

If the compressor makes alot of wracket, its probably the clutch assembly going out. I had a similar problem.
