still vibrating 200 1988

I still have the vibration in my driveshaft, I have noticed that if I start car in neutral shifter seems to move around, it has been a while since I drove somethig manual trans that was rear drive, i remember they move some, but this seems a little excessive, is this a sure sign of a broken tranny mount, the mechanic that works on my car wants to replace the flex disc, but I don't think that is it, it doesn't look cracked or worn too bad, he says the mount is fine, but I have doubts, I have all new motor mounts and trans mount here, is this easy work, I have a decent socket set, and a floor jack...also the mount under the oil filter seems like it is compressed, kinda bulging, is this ok, I have read that if it is bad the filter will sit on it, and this is not true in my case. I imagine new trans and motor mounts would be a good idea anyways even if not shot yet.

    still vibrating....tranny mount almost sure 200 1988

i jacked the car up today and looked at the trans mount, it looks bad to me it is not square at all anymore and seems to be pressed together where the bolts go on.

Replace all three mounts, that is a good start. Don't worry about the flex disc unless it looks bad. The next area to look at is the rubber center bearing support housing, but start with the mounts. Dan
