I cleaned my IAC valve today... 200

And now my idle is higher than normal. I reset the ECU and drove around for a while, but it didn't change much. I will check the TPS tomorrow, but that wasn't the reason for my post.

When I was cleaning the valve, which was not as dirty as my throttle body was, I was thinking that I will probably have to do this in another 80k miles or so... Is there a way to fully remove the oil from the blow-by gasses?

I mean, there is. There are oil catch cans on the market that will also return the oil to the sump, but that would be overkill for a b230f because the actual amount of oil vaporized is relatively small (if your breather system is clean and not plugged). But perhaps an oil catch without a return line and the required plumbing might be worth it. Something simple to drain every third oil change or so. I have seen some cheap renditions that look like an air/oil separator from an air compressor, but they seem sketchy. There are also decently priced ones from MFactory that have 15mm fitting and an indicator to show the oil level. I understand that this might be overkill, but it sure would be nice to not have to clean the throttle body or IAC valve again.

Question is: Would this create any kind of resistance or hinder the PCV system in anyway?

    I cleaned my IAC valve today... 200

    I've had great results running synthetic oil. Throttle body and IAC always stay clean.

    relocate pcv hose ??? 200

    what about relocating the pcv hose to other side of TB..... say on the intake mani?...

    I too have been puzzled why the pcv/flame trap hose is set up so that it durties the TB and IAC valve...doesn't make sense...
