inexpensive rear shocks 200 1988

Greetings all, has anybody tried using inexpensive rear shocks such as Monroe, Gabriel etc..... I have an '88 wagon running with the original shocks with overload springs and over 180,000 miles. thanks

    I've used Gabriel for the rear of my sedan and like the way they ride. I wouldn't hesitate to put them on my wagon because they are somewhat firm, which is what a wagon needs (imho). They've been on for around 40K and running strong. The post about getting the bolts separated from the rusted sleeves is dead on! It took me 2 hours and a can of PB Blaster with a mallet to free the suckers! Good luck with which ever shock you choose!

    The OEM or KBY shocks are not that expensive. The hard part is getting the rusted bolts off and out of the sleaves.

      Just remember you get what you pay for. FCP has good prices. I would go OEM.
