Really Annoying Brake Squeal 700 1992

sorry for all the questions,Bricksters....I have 4 RWD Volvos to maintain. Daughter's 92 740 is squealing really badly. Girling calipers front/ ATE rear. All 4 are rebuilts installed 6 months ago, new pads front and rear. The rear has anti-squeal shims available, the single-piston front doesn't.
I used anti-squeal grease on the outboard side of all the pads, but not enough, I guess.
Next step is to grease up the sliding pins and the corners of the calipers where the pads sit.
Any other suggestions?
Besides getting better earplugs??

Take the Pads off the car , Run a File around the edge of the Pad surface, just to break the accute right angle out of the pad.
Remember when a Teacher had a new piece of chalk and held it Perpindicular to the Blackboard? They could make that chalk chatter and squeal too. So just one or two strokes to cut that edge a bit, then reinstall.

I put in Autozone "Duralast" brake pads and the rear pads have been noisy.
Tried first with the brake goo on the back of the pads with no shims.
Then scraped off the goo and reused old stainless? shims and it was a little better. I forget if I tried shims and goo, the backs are still a bit noisy.
It must be that I should try another brand of brake puck?

    The fronts are fine here.

These are the ones I am using now. It helps a lot with squeal. I am using semi-metal pads too.

    Part number is 084-2022 I think they're beck-arnley.
This site has them for 17$ but there should be some cheaper out there.
Just found this in a list of parts I was going to buy and hadn't deleted haha.
    :D

I.. believe I found anti-squeal shims for my 90 740's front brakes as well.

    http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-700/Brakes/Brake-Shims/p-70-193-1490/

looks like the top one is rated for girlings.
I found some somewhere...? maybe for a lot less than 20$.

    Good luck,
    Will
