That free body 120-130

I saw those pics of that 65 122 and wish I could get that thing here to NY man

Almost too late... 120-130 1965

I wish someone would take it. I've given up after a couple weeks and no serious offers. I've gone to stage 4 - last stage before it gets sawed up for scrap. It's a sad way to go, but I already have two late model amazons and I'm the second owner...

With the 65, I started at Stage 1.
I removed the engine and front bodywork - the parts I *really* wanted to keep, but I would entertain offers for the bodywork.

I had a couple tentative offers, but nothing solid. Seems I wanted to keep too much of the car parts for anyone to fool with exchanging part-for-part or trading me something else.

So I went to Stage 2.
I removed all the glass and interior trim - reduced the car to a rolling shell. Offered for very cheap, but still wanted something in exchange

There was some interest locally, but that quickly evaporated when people realized I was not giving away $500.00 worth of front bodywork and a $200.00 windshield for $100.00.

So I went to Stage 3
I completely removed anything and everything bolted or screwed on. Dropped the front and rear wheels, and offered it for FREE to anyone who wanted it.

Still no interest so I took things to part one of the final stage.

Really needing my workspace for mt 68's brake work, I got out my reciprocating saw and with grim determination, I approached the 65...

I feel your pain.
Although my pain is that I stripped my old 144 hoping that used parts would be of interest to someone. At least to keep some others on the road.
There's been a few calls, but not a lot of interest though.
Can't even give some parts away like the seats.

Its a shame because as you said somewhere someone that has a rusty one could reuse all their good parts, paint that body up and have a winner

Cabriolet 120-130 1965

I'm hoping that someone will get very inspired by this picture and decide to take on the project.

Otherwise it's going to become scrap and/or spare bodywork for one of my other two amazons
