Pulling #6 fuse doesn't clear my OBD Codes 700 1991

After the codes refused to clear using the button,
I pulled the #6 fuse ---

(1) pulling the #6 fuse fails to clear the codes on my 1991 745.

Is it a different fuse on this vehicle? I'm getting frustrated and confused.

(2) I swapped another oxygen sensor, and I still get the 212 signal missing code.

(3) I cleaned & insulated the speed sensor wires, and I still get the 311 signal missing code.

Is it the ECU or ???

An old timer once told me you had to give it at least 5 minutes since the computer had some "keep alive" capacity of it own.

He always pulled the negative battery cable and gave it about 20 minutes. He swore that it memorized engine performance and this was the only way to be sure you were starting out with a "clear and clean" ECU.

"He always pulled the negative battery cable"

This is what the FAQs recommend.

Nobody else has any clue either? Weird, huh?

Did I miss something obvious? Pulling the fuse is supposed to clear the memory, correct?

Pulling #6 fuse is for 240's, '91-'93 700 1991

On 700/900, try fuse #1 (FI and Ignition).

My '93 900 diagrams say fuse #6 is for ECC Climate control. What does your fuse label say?
