Head off, rust in the bore

Got the head off of my buddy's 90 240 ...blown gasket.

It had set a spell and rust has started to form in the bores of two of the cylinders.

I would bet WD40 and some fine emery cloth would be the ticket.

Am I right?

Thanks.

Marvel Mystery oil is a good bet. No sand paper though, the grit can get into the rings. Just put it back together and run the snot out of it.

How've you been, Andrew?

Regards,

William. Bless you for asking.

How am I? Standing in the need of prayer, for sure!

Still fooling with Bricks, I see. I finally got me a really sweet 240, and have weaned myself from the need of a turbo. When I think of the problems I am still having from time to time dealing with on the wife's 940t, I often think of your thesis on how dirty the turbo can be, and it being one of Volvo's worst or best kept secrets - something like that.

Hope all is well wit you and your ministry & family. I will drop you a line and let you know what is happening on this end spiritually ..church wise.

Thanks for the MM hint.
