Hi All,
How quickly does your engine start?

immediately
2 seconds?
3?

Just trying to get an idea of how a well tuned motor should behave ....

    740GLE B230F: 2-4 revolutions - sometimes instantly if it's warm.

    I heard somewhere that a few turns before starting actually helps oil start moving before the engine starts in earnest. :)

    Usually within a crank or two... even after sitting for 6 months.... The major factor really, is not so much engine tune, but how long it takes for the fuel rail to pressurize.

    Common culprits here are the check valve and prepump.
