    Raleigh [N Hills]..... 200

I have an 89 245DL M47 w/308,000 mi. Car is rock solid, strong engine, no leaks, NO rust. Restoring it to Stage 0. It's my DD and I do all my own work. I am figuring it out as I go. Between the Bentley & Haynes manuals, Brickboard, Turbobricks, and other forums and a whole intarweb full of info I am managing to get it done and it's allot of fun. I'll help you with what ever I can.

So far it's been engine detail, complete fluids changes, vacuum check valve, complete rear suspension bushing change [made my own TAB tool], new rear rotors & reman calipers, rear Turbo sway added, fixed ODO gear, added large Tach & small clock, new main fuel pump & filter and new fuel pump relay and 15" Adhara wheels from a 940 [need center caps]. Prolly some other stuff too that I forgot.

Parts on hand & work to complete in May/June are: in-tank fuel pump w/filter,
engine mounts, tranny mount, drive shaft center mount & bearing, new front & rear wheel bearings, new front rotors & reman calipers, front Turbo sway bar and all front suspension bushings and all new shocks.

Then it's onto the A/C system before it gets hot[there is a gremlin living in it]. After that I'll go thru the engine replacing all the old aging rubber bits and the like.

Using a mix of Volvo parts & OEM parts [Bosch, Boge, Ate, etc]. Sourcing quality parts is as hard as the work, certainly more frustrating. I've had to send allot of junk back.

    John

Hey John, can you help me replace my rear Brakes and rotors, I could pay a few bucks for your time of course. I would like to do them myself, but I'm just getting into the DIY. Email me at gone_stealth@yahoo.com

I'm currently in Raleigh during the week, and in Winston-Salem on the weekends, unfortunately, that means very little time right now. Perhaps once we have relocated to Raleigh, I can be of more assistance.
