I just bought a 1993 740 and the sunroof is stuck open! How do I fix that? thanks in advance.

    Does it make any noise when you push the switch either direction? Could be a dirty switch, or the ground lead on the motor is poorly secured. I've had both. More info is in the FAQS section.

    Mike:

    When you attempt to close, can you hear the motor making any noise at all? Do you hear grinding gears, or just the motor clicking as though it is trying to move but can't? Also, does the sunroof appear to be skewed in the opening (the left or right is farther back or forward than the other side, however slight)?
